Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and its associated safety concerns, TEDxVIIT 2020 was conducted entirely online.

Samira Davalbhakta
Samira Davalbhakta is a final-year medical student at BJ Medical College, Pune. She believes that productivity is not something that we achieve by working 24/7 but by working systematically and consistently. She used her time in lockdown to its maximum potential and published papers in reputed journals along the way. This enabled her to utilize every aspect of this free time we all had.
Vihari Kanukallu
Owing to the unsustainable habits of farming, paired with the water scarcity we are facing, traditional methods of agriculture are in a dire need of replacement. Vihari Kanukollu, the CEO and Co-founder at UrbanKissan, has developed a millennial method of farming where we use less to grow more - vertical farming. The water used is less, with almost no soil required! Easy enough to understand and adapt, Hydroponics and vertical farming is the future of sustainability.
Gautami Deshpande
Gautami Deshpande, an engineer turned actor, graduated in engineering from VIIT College, Pune. After graduating the actor also worked in an IT firm before working as an actor. Gautami began her journey as an actor by working in theatre during her college years and earned many accolades. Torn between what life has to offer against what you decide, Gautami was on the verge of quitting a promising career and moving back to square one, owing to an unsuccessful patch. Reconsidering the choice after getting a new perspective on failures, she was able to find happiness and peace. Any career path is bridled with uncertainty and change, the only constant is you.
Mukesh Chhabra
Mukesh Chhabra is a casting director in Bollywood. Beginning his journey as an actor and eventually realizing to be a failure never led him to give up. His dream to work in the film industry was too big to back out from. Soon realizing, one should create their own space instead of finding one, ultimately made him the first casting director in the Bollywood film industry

Kiran Kalamdani is a Conservation Architect and the Co-Founder of Kimaya Architects at Chinchwad, Pune. He has led more than 400 heritage conservation projects all over India. He believes that taking care of the heritage sites, improving their infrastructure, and handing it over to the next generation is the first step towards architectural sustainability.
